The short version
HushTX collects a single, anonymous aggregate metric: a count of how many times the application has been visited. That is all. We do not log your IP address, your location, your browser, the transaction hashes you look up, or any other identifying information about your visit. There are no accounts for end-users, no cookies, and no cross-site tracking.
What we collect and why
Each time the application is loaded, a single record is created containing nothing more than a timestamp. This lets us understand whether HushTX is being used at all, an aggregate visit count, so we can decide whether the project is worth maintaining and improving. No data is sent that could identify you or tie a visit back to you.
| Data point | Collected? |
|---|---|
| Visit timestamp | Yes |
| IP address | No |
| Geolocation | No |
| Browser / device info | No |
| Transaction hashes | No |
| Persistent identifiers | No |
| Cookies | No |
Transaction data
When you look up a transaction, HushTX fetches the details from the relevant public block explorer — xmrchain.net for Monero, mempool.space for Bitcoin, litecoinspace.org for Litecoin, BlockCypher for Dogecoin, and Blockscout for Ethereum, BNB Chain RPC for BNB Chain, and the Solana RPC API for Solana, and xrplcluster.com for the XRP Ledger, and Stellar Horizon for Stellar, and the Hedera Mirror Node API for Hedera — and renders them in your browser. That request is made directly from our server to the explorer and is not associated with your visit in any way. The transaction hashes you look up are never stored or logged.
Third parties
HushTX does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share data with any external party. The only third-party services involved in a transaction lookup are the public block explorers listed above, which provide the on-chain data shown on screen.
